DAVAO CITY —- Presidential aspirant Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago will visit the University of the Philippines in Mindanao on April 20.
Rene Estremera, UP Mindanao’s public relations officer said this was confirmed to him in a communication by the Senator’s Chief of Staff, Atty. Fatima Panontongan.
Santiago will guest in the second “Panagtigom: Forum for Presidential Candidates” to be held at the UP Mindanao Administration Building, Mintal, Davao City at 2:00 pm.
On April 13, Atty. Jay Layug, representative of Vice President Jejomar Binay, served as guest speaker in the first Panagtigom.
Estremera said Layug discussed the “pillars” of a Binay presidency to UP Mindanao constituents including barangay officials.
“Invitations were issued to all the candidates for president, vice-president, and other candidates to join the Panagtigom Forum on any date of their choice,” said Estremera.
He said all candidates and parties local are welcome to visit UP Mindanao and a forum will be set up for them by the students and the UP sa Halalan 2016 working group. Estremera said the forum is open to the public. (davaotoday.com)
