DAVAO CITY – Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon assured the public of peace and order as the city hosts the 2015 Palarong Pambansa from May 3 to May 9, which is the country’s largest sporting event.
In a statement on Sunday, Rellon said he wanted all visitors to “feel at home” while urging local residents to be hospitable.
The Tagum City Government deployed a three-shift security composed of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Security Management Office (SMO) and Traffic Management Office (TMO) personnel in the billeting areas with other force multipliers and barangay tanods on foot patrol.
The billeting sites for the regional delegations and technical officials were also repaired and repainted and provided with new appliances utilizing the more or less P14.1 million budget from Tagum City’s General Fund and Special Education Fund.
Tagum City is host to eighteen (18) billeting schools and twelve (12) playing venues.
