DAVAO CITY – Two police operations in two weeks led by Tagum City Police Office resulted to the arrest of 14 suspects and the recovery of a size-able amount of alleged illegal drugs and paraphernalia in Tagum City, according to the Tagum City Information Office.
Four suspects were arrested Monday, while 10 were arrested Wednesday last week in separate anti-illegal drugs operations led by the Tagum City Police Office.
Police authorities identified the suspects arrested Monday as Junaid P. Bancola, 35, his wife Samerah R. Bancola, 23, from Malabang, Lanao del Sur, Moncao G. Bancola, 35, and wife Sarah Bancola, 39 years old from Sarimanok, Marawi City who were said to have “transported” illegal drugs worth P5 million.
They were arrested by virtue of a search warrant 4am of Monday at Barangay West, Tagum City
Recovered from the four suspects were suspected shabu packed in six large and four medium-sized sachets estimated almost one kilo, one improvised plastic tooter, one weighing scale and one plastic container.
Meanwhile, last Wednesday’s police operation led to the arrest suspect drug pushers Alias Osang, alias Magembo and Edres Dayon Sanama, 35 years old, in Purok 3 in Barangay Madaum.
In an operation in Purok 3, authorities also arrested Alberto Q. Laurente, 63, Junrey C. Pernea, Archebal Dayon, 26, Hitler Dayon, 30, Peter Louie Dayon, Stephen R. Juan, 20, and Melane Lomero Garcia, 27, who were found in possession of three sachets of shabu in varying sizes, three empty sachets with residues of shabu, two aluminum strips, two aluminum needle, two improvised tooters, an empty sachet and two disposable lighter.
All anti-illegal drug operations were jointly headed by Police Superintendent Lito E. Patay of the Tagum City Police Office, Police Superintendent Alexander R. Serrano, Jr. of the Davao del Norte Provincial Police, and Police Inspector Cosme S. Masepequiña of Tagum’s Finest.(davaotoday.com)
