DAVAO CITY – The officers and staff of the 24-hour convenience store chain here attended an orientation on Fair Trade Laws (FTLs) last Thursday, May 26.
The orientation was attended by 47 store managers and representatives from various 7 Eleven branches throughout Davao Region, which aimed to equip them with knowledge in handling consumer complaints relative to the FTLs.
The orientation was held in partnership between the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Seven Corporation.
Philippine Seven Corporation representative Osmenio F. Faner said they are targeting to install consumer welfare desks to Seven Eleven Stores in Davao City before the semester ends.
Meanwhile, Assistant Regional Director Edwin O. Banquerigo, said they are continuously striving to promote the welfare of consumers through its consumer advocacy initiatives.
“For this year alone, DTI-DCFO is targeting to deliver at least 40 consumer empowerment-related initiatives,” he said. (davaotoday.com)
