75 Davao-Manila flights cancelled due to APEC

DAVAO CITY – A total of 75 Davao-Manila and vice versa flights have been cancelled because of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ meeting.

The Philippine Airlines cancelled 38, while the Cebu-Pacific Air cancelled 33 flights. Four flights were also cancelled by Air Asia.

In a Philippine Information Agency dispatch, airport authorities claimed that there were no complaints received from the passengers since they were informed ahead of time through electronic mail and text messaging.

The Philippine Airlines said the flight cancellations resulted to $18.75-Million-losses.

Cielo Villaluna, spokesperson of the PAL said they have a total of 699 flights cancelled nationwide due to the APEC summit.

The Cebu-Pacific Air also reported about by 847 flights cancelled nationwide. (davaotoday.com)
