DAVAO CITY – An alleged liaison for the New People’s Army was arrested Saturday evening at a checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan, Toril district this city, the Army said.
Army’s Public Information Office Chief Captain Alberto Caber in a statement said John Omega Nebris alias Part was arrested by the joint Army and national police personnel at 9:00 pm last Saturday.
He said the security forces recovered from Nebris’ possession a .45 caliber pistol, a fragmentation grenade, three cellular phones, 13 sim cards, P5,000 cash and personal belongings. Caber said Nebris is currently detained at the Toril police station while the government prepares to file charges against him.
