DAVAO CITY – A 55-year old tribal resident of Talaingod, Davao del Norte said he was wounded when New People’s Army guerrillas reportedly swooped down on his village on Thursday night.
The 68th Infantry Battalion did not say who or what was the target of the attack at 7:50 pm at Sitio Nasilaban, Barangay Palma Gil but said that one Puloy Bago, was wounded.
Bago was outside his house when the reported attack happened.
Bago sustained gunshot wounds in both thighs and “was rescued by the elements of the Peace and Development Team (PDT) led by Corporal Roland Pamposa,” the 68th IB said.
Bago was sent to Davao Regional Hospital in Apokon, Tagum City for treatment. (davaotoday.com)
