DAVAO CITY – Government anti-narcotics agents burned on Monday 21,942.7 grams of marijuana at the Compostela Valley provincial capitol.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and provincial government officials burned the marijuana valued at P767,994.50 that was recovered in a joint clearing operation with the Army’s 28th Infantry Battalion.
In a press release, Governor Arturo Uy said he “commends the continued efforts of the PDEA, Philippine Army, and the police in pursuing its anti-illegal drug campaign.”
He also cited “the active involvement of the barangay officials and other private citizens who tip him via SMS or text messages.”
