DAVAO CITY – Energy consumers here will be experiencing short duration of power interruptions over the weekend, the Davao Light and Power Company announced on Wednesday.
“The first set of power interruptions will be for 15-minutes only on July 11, from 3:00 a.m. to 3:15 a.m. and from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. affecting Victoria Feeder 1 and Ecoland Feeder 2,” said Rosanno Luga, DLPC AVP-Reputation Enhancement Department.
Luga said the switching of loads will be “necessary to avoid longer power interruption during the relocation of poles along Bacaca road to facilitate DPWH’s road widening project and DCWD’s upgrading works.”
Luga said customers along J.P. Laurel Avenue from El Bajada Hotel going to Redemptorist Church and from Bacaca corner Diversion road up to underpass in Milan Buhangin will be affected by the power interruptions.
“Areas along Maa road going to Magtuod and to Monteritz and from Las Terrazas to Langub will also be affected by these power interruptions,” he said.
Luga said DLPC “will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier.”
“However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances,” he said. (davaotoday.com)
