The Kabataang Makabayan (KM, Patriotic Youth) held a lightning rally on Thursday and called on the Filipino youth to rise up against President Benigno Aquino III.
“Aquino surrendered our national sovereignty to the US, violated his chain of command in favor of personal friendship and allegiance, mounted the death-bound operation that included civilians, and showed flagrant arrogance in attacking the areas controlled by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, which has a ceasefire agreement with the Aquino regime,” said Ma. Laya Guerrero, spokesperson of KM, Guerrero said the youth should join ouster calls against the president.
The rally on Thursday was held to commemorate the founding anniversary of the New People’s Army’s on March 29.
In a statement on Friday, Guerrero said President Aquino cannot escape accountability on the Mamasapano incident.
Guerrero said the operation was planned and pushed by the US to President Aquino in its “war on terror”.
