Tubod, Lanao del Norte — Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) forces under Abdullah Macapaar, alias commander Bravo, is now crippled and no longer has the capability to launch a bigger attack against the civilian populace of Lanao del Norte.
This was the announcement made by liutenent colonel Agane Adriatico, chief of the civil military operations (CMO) of the first infantry division of the Armed Forces of the Philippine.
“Unlike before, when it was still a force to recon with, the LMG is no longer capable of staging another attack in the province and our military installations on the ground,” Adriatico said.
Adriatico said the terrorist group of Bravo are now in splintered groups while running away from the relentless military offensives launched against them since the August 18 MILF attacks in LDN’s coastal towns.
Adriatico said some of Bravo’s men have broken away from the main group to elude arrest after the government launched hot pursuit and law enforcement operations against Bravo, Kato and Pangalian.
“The men of Bravo were also allegedly affected by the “Ubusan ng Lahi” challenge that he made over a television network, recently,” Adriatico added.
“His followers are psychologically affected thinking that they will only be made sacrificial lambs by the rogue MILF leadership.” (RTD/PIA-Marawi)
