A Davao City-born porn star is running for governor of Nevada, in the United States. Melody Damayo, aka Mimi Miyagi (warning: adult content), is running as a Republican but shares some contrary views with President George W. Bush, such as on the Iraq war. In her campaign website, she writes: “The coalition that was formed appears superficial. Financial support in a war is important, but troop and real military commitment is the ultimate coalition and Bush NEVER had that.”
Her platform seems interesting: she wants to reduce waiting time for police processing of crime reports, tougher laws on domestic abuse, free speech and she against judicial activism. And oh, she wants to legalize strip clubs in hotels.
