DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The city’s Human Resource Management Office will conduct a re-orientation to security personnel to upgrade their capacity through a series of training sessions.
“We have to reorient our security personnel of their roles in the safety of the employees, the clients of the City Hall, and the properties of the city government,” Erwin Alparaque, chief of the HRMO said in a City Information Office dispatch.
The training sessions include topics on detection and assessment of threats, self-defense, and quick emergency response, among others.
Alparaque said the training has three components including problem intervention, problem response and proper communication with local authorities.
“Their skills and knowledge must be updated in order for them to be fully capable of providing the necessary security that we all need,” he said.
Last week, around 30 security guards securing public schools, public markets, the City Hall and other buildings and offices, attended a two-day training. (davaotoday.com)
