Mayor Rodrigo Duterte denied involvement in the abduction and killing of two party-list members whose decomposing bodies were found in two different sites last week, saying the allegation was “a crazy accusation.”
“Ano makukuha ko kung ipapatay ko sila? Eh di lilipat ang sympathy ng mga tao sa kanila (What could I gain from having them killed? That would only transfer the people’s sympathy to them),” Duterte told reporters after his campaign rally at Angliongto Gym in St. Anthony Village, Mamay Road on Sunday night.
Juliana Noquera and Ronald Miranda, who had been campaigning for Bantay Party-list led by retired General Jovito Palparan, were abducted in Calinan district on March 24. Continue reading
