TAGUM CITY– Over 5,000 athletes, coaches and officials from six cities and four provinces in the Davao Region are expected to attend the Davao Regional Athletic Association,dubbed DAVRAA 2014. For the second time, the Davao del Norte Province will be hosting event to be held on February 9-12, 2014 at Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.
DAVRAA 2014 will converge the best athletes in Davao region to compete various events such as in athletics, indoor and outdoor games, among others.
Romulo Tagalo, Information Officer of Davao del Norte Province, in a text message, told Davao Today that the province won the privilege to once again host the DAVRAA because of the province’s state-of-the-art sports facility during the DAVRAA Board meeting last September.
Davao del Norte’s plush sports complex first hosted the DAVRAA on February 2012 followed by the hosting of the Mindanao Batang Pinoy Qualifying Games on August 2013. (Mart D. Sambalud/davaotoday.com)
