DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Filipino Inventors Society, Inc. (FIS) has launched its Davao-Mindanao Chapter.
Manuel Ruiz, an inventor and the National President of the FIS said they promote not only inventions but also education and proprietorship.
“We believe that Davao is a very fertile soil not only because of the location but also because of the people that could be developed as inventors,” he said.
One of FIS goals is to see the increase in number of inventors especially the young inventors.
Ruiz added that great quality of invention comes from the young minds.
Engr. Roderick Dayot, a lifetime member of FIS said the organization is a non-political and highly academic.
These Filipino inventor members will benefit a lot like having the access to research funds and will be trained how to develop products, said Dayot.
FIS is a non-government organization composed of Filipino inventors which aims to promote their inventions through providing assistance in the development and business sectors.
FIS Davao-Mindanao chapter is the first branch outside Taguig, Metro Manila.
We will start here in Davao and definitely well grow in the whole Mindanao to bring about development, Ruiz said. (davaotoday.com)
