In his speech during the graduation ceremony, Task Force Davao Commander Col. Erwin Bernard Neri said the new SCAAs were equipped with basic military skills to “enhance and reinforce capability in the conduct of security operations on the urban areas of Davao City.”
Neri said the SCAAs will be assisting the TF Davao in its duty of maintaining peace within the metropolitan areas of Davao City.
During their training, the recruits underwent basic military training, law enforcement operation and procedures, lectures, and physical programs.
Neri said the SCAAs will be deployed to secure vital facilities, information collection, public information drives, community relations, and humanitarian activities.
Neri also revealed that 30 percent of the recruits received some college education, 10 percent had acquired college degrees, while another 10 percent finished vocational courses. The other half, meanwhile, were high school graduates but had the “required skills.”
The SCAAs will be receiving a monthly stipend between P7,400 to P9,000. (davaotoday.com)
