DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The Army’s 401st Infantry Brigade opened a two-hectare drug facility inside its camp in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
In a statement, the Army said the center, called Residential Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (RTRC), inaugurated Thursday, September 22, can accommodate 60 patients.
The center inside the 334-hectare Army camp will be managed by the provincial government.
The Army said establishment of the RTRC is in line with the province’s drug rehabilitation program called, Substance Use Recovery and Enlightenment (SURE).
Army Commander Col. Cristobal N. Zaragoza, said this is part of the collaboration between the military and the local government.
“We will give our all-out support to this campaign,” said Zaragoza.
“A drug-free province is necessary for a drug-free country,” he said.(davaotoday.com)
