The Commission on Elections moved the start of the campaign for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) from Feb. 6 to March 2, to allow time for the Senate to decide on postponing the elections and for the Comelec to make the immediate adjustments.
Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes said this will also give them time to disseminate the information on the campaign guidelines, or the Senate decision.
Gun ban and other prohibitions during the election period would also start on Feb.6, the poll body chief said. The ban would no longer apply once the Senate arrives at final decision postponing the elections.
