MSTCFI to hold scientific forum and general assembly

The Mindanao Science and Technology Centrum Foundation, Inc. (MSTCFI), a non-stock, non-profit science foundation accredited by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), will hold a scientific forum with the theme, The Exciting Possibilities of Robotics on October 19, 2007, Friday, at the conference hall of the University of the Philippines in Mindanao downtown campus, Terraza Melisa Bldg., Anda St., Davao City. The guest speaker to expound on the theme is Dr. Randy Gamboa, professor and faculty member of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP). MSTCFI extends invitation to the scientific community, industry, business and the academe to attend this very timely and informative forum on the various applications of this new and fast developing technology.

The forum coincides with the MSTCFI general assembly and election of the members of the Board of Trustees for the ensuing years. MSTCFI members are therefore enjoined to attend. A minimal registration fee of Php 300.00 will be charged.

The MSTCFI, headed by its Chairman, Mr. Sebastian L. Angliongto and its President, Dr. Anacleto M. Pedrosa, Jr., operates and manages the Mindanao Science and Technology Centrum (MSTC), the first and only science center in Mindanao. Since its establishment in 1998, it has served close to 500,000 students, teachers, parents and the general public in both its on-site and mobile exhibitions. Through the Centrums interactive exhibits, visitors discover science and mathematics concepts while having fun.

The MSTCs mission is to promote science literacy for all.
