PANABO CITY, Philippines — The city government of Panabo is gearing up for this year’s 3rd “Barangay Walang Iwanan Bayani Challenge” slated on Nov. 18 to 25.
The event will be held at Gawad Kalinga village in this city where 40 houses will be constructed, according to a city information dispatch Wednesday.
GK Executive Director, Jose Luis Oquinena said that of the 40 houses, 30 of which will be sponsored by Berjaya, a Malaysia-based company.
There are 43 housing units in Panabo City’s Gawad Kalinga village, making 83 houses more or less after this year’s event.
Oquinena said the event would also orient the community about gardening and other livelihood trainings in a one-hectare area provided for agri-production. (davaotoday.com)
