DAVAO CITY – A construction worker was reportedly killed by his colleague on Sunday while having a drinking session.
The victim, who was identified as Jimboy Lonzaga sustained a hack wound on the left side portion of his neck which caused his death.
A witness said that the victim and his co-worker named Romel Tamol Mangolon had a heated argument while having a drinking session last Sunday outside their bunkhouse.
The witness said that the suspect went inside the bunkhouse and took a bolo. A few minutes later, the witness heard Mangolon shouting.
The investigators recovered a bolo measuring, more or less, 18 inches from the crime scene.
The suspect was able to escape the incident, but at around 1:30 am of Monday, Mangolon voluntarily surrendered to Sta. Ana Police Station. (Diana C. Tomale/davaotoday.com)
