DAVAO CITY – Police arrested a man in Tugbok District here after allegedly threatening five employees of the banana-exporting company Dole on Wednesday.
Reynaldo Libardo, an employee of Stanfilco-Dole, allegedly got mad and broke the mirror window of the company’s office at Sitio Banarao, Barangay Talandang, Tugbok on Tuesday.
According to investigations by the local police, Arland Velasco Bernal, 39 and a resident at the Dole compound in Baguio District confronted the suspect in the afternoon Wednesday.
The suspect however threatened the Bernal and other Dole officials and employees including Anselmo Lagmay, Jr., manager; human resource officer Jeffreind Lamparas; production heads Victorio Maboloc and Ruchic Cheng; and security guard Leo Padayugyog.
Bernal reported it to the police who later apprehended the suspect. (Mark Anthony L. Duran/davaotoday.com)
