DAVAO CITY – The Luntiang Paraiso Rehabilitation Center in New Corella, Davao del Norte is now converted into a regional rehabilitation center following the transfer of its management to the Department of Health from the provincial government.
Luntaing Paraiso Executive Officer Gabriela Logronio said the rehabilitation center was transferred to the DOH during a turnover ceremony last October 9.
Logronio, in a Philippine Information Agency dispatch said that the full implementation of the transfer will be on June 2016 and they are now on transition period.
The transfer is part of the DOH’s program to establish a 100-bed regional rehabilitation center in support to Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act or Republic Act 9165.
Logronio also said that the rehabilitation center now caters to 81 residents from the different areas of Mindanao with addiction to drugs, alcohol and even cyber addiction. (davaotoday.com)
