DAVAO CITY – The Provincial Statistics Office here in the region will conduct the mid-decade population census, simultaneous nationwide, starting next week.
PSO Davao Region officer Randolph Anthony Gales said that the census is now being held “to have an updated data on population.”
He said they are expecting to finish the census next month.
Gales said that in Davao City alone, there are about 1,800 hired personnel. He said they are part of the 90,000 – 100,000 hired personnel nationwide.
However, Gales clarified that there will be certain areas in the region where the census will be extended due to the “unpredictable” size of the population.
The said program will start next Monday (August 10) and is expected to finish on the first week of September 2015. (davaotoday.com)
