DAVAO CITY — After Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte withdrew his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for mayor and filed his COC for president Friday morning, who will now be included in his list of senators?
In a press conference on the same day, members from the media asked the mayor if he already had names to complete his senatorial lineup, but Duterte said he will release the list before December 10.
“At least before December 10, I would be able to be in the position to give you names,” Duterte said.
It can be recalled that last month, news on Duterte’s “dream team” will include eight senatorial candidates including Serge Osmeña and Panfilo Lacson; Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao; Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez; ACT-CIS Representative Samuel Pagdilao; Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno; and former Senator Miguel Zubiri.
Now that Duterte has filed his COC for president, he said that her daughter Inday Sara will take over his position as the mayor of Davao City.
“She cannot file any position kung wala pang bakante(if there has no vacant), I have to create a vacuum so that she can go in”, Duterte added. (davaotoday.com)
