DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Some 50 families are homeless after a fire hit a residential area in Barangay 76-A here Thursday afternoon.
City Fire Marshal Fire Inspector Christian Cena of the Bureau Fire Protection Davao City said 30 residential properties were gutted by the fire. The fire destroyed P1.5-million worth of properties.
The BFP received the fire call at 1:38 pm and was called out at 3:39 pm.
“Until now, we have not yet received the information on what caused the fire. The investigation is still ongoing,” Cena said.
The displaced families are currently staying at a public elementary school in the area.(davaotoday.com)
