TAGUM CITY – Five civilians were hurt when a bomb exploded Tuesday evening in Cotabato City, a witness said.
Resident Chalifer Salipada told DavaoToday said that the bomb exploded at 8:20 PM in between a beauty parlor and a pawnshop at Poblacion 5, Makacua Street.
He said five civilians were hurt including a member of the 5th Special Force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The explosion caused severe damage to a public utility in the area where the bomb exploded.
As of press time, police authorities are still conducting an inspection saying they recovered metal fragments believed to be mortar shells.
Salipada said that bomb explosions in other areas in the city have been reported, triggering civilians to worry for their safety and security.(davaotoday.com)
