DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Authorities in Region 11 now gears up for the “Oplan Balik Eskwela” 2018 this coming June 4.
Statement from the Police Regional Office 11 show they are now in “close coordination with the Department of Education and other national and local government agencies” to ensure a secure and peaceful opening of classes.
Chief Insp. Milgrace Driz, the spokesperson of the Southern Mindanao police office, said they will establish Police Assistance Desks (PADS) in all school campuses and clustered schools nationwide to provide public safety and security coverage and to Provide EOD k9 to conduct paneling to school vicinity.
“Police visibility operations will also be intensified along major routes leading to all learning institutions and within the immediate vicinity of the schools to prevent cases of bullying and modus operandi such as budol-budol.”
PRO11 will implement the prohibition of overloading of buses jeeps and other public utility vehicles to avoid accidents and other similar incidents.
In Davao City, DCPO spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said tthey will be deploying a maximum of two police officers in Davao City schools for the opening of classes.
Gaspan said cases of “hold up” incidents had been soaring high recently.
She said the public should report any incidents and other street crimes to police officers assigned in their respective Police Assistance Desks (PADs) or to the nearest police stations. (davaotoday. com)
