DAVAO CITY — Dr. Crisostomo Serrano, Sr. resident director of the Davao Doctors hospital (DDH) welcomed guests, participants and members of DDH family during the 38th anniversary celebration and the blessing and inauguration of the newly renovated Out-Patient Department yesterday (Monday) July 2.
In his welcome address, Dr. Serrano said we have been long waiting for the completion of the Out-Patient Department to enable us to upgrade our services in the different clinics which will be manned not only by our resident staff but also by our consultants.
We hope to add to our specialty clinics such as the Diabetes Education clinic and the liver clinic and offer these on a regular basis, he said.
As he expressed gratitude to the Board of Directors and hospital management for strongly supporting the OPD project, we will also expand our charity clinics which will benefit mainly the underprivileged members in our community, Dr. Serrano said.
The OPD ribbon cutting was led by City Councilor Nilo Abellera, City Health Officer Josephine Villafuerte; Asst. CHO Dr. Sammy Cruz; Dr. Honorio Hilario Chairman of the Board; Dr. Dominador Cabrera, President and CEO of DDH; Dr. Rizalina Pangan, VP; and other officers of the Davao Doctors hospital.
The 6-storey Nursing Care building is the latest addition in the Davao Doctors hospital growing community. This was built as a response to the need of accommodating more patients and housing additional specialized sections to upgrade the hospitals ceaseless attention to high standards.
Within this wing is the upgraded Obstetrics Ward and Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit and the new Surgical Ward and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. (PIA XI/rbpalacio) (davaotoday.com)
