DAVAO CITY — The Davao Light and Power Co. announced on Tuesday, April 5 that it will implement two sets of 15-minute switching power interruptions on April 6 and 7 to facilitate the National Grid Corporations of the Philippines’ Preventive Maintenance Shutdown (PMS) of its Davao Substation.
“To avoid longer duration of power interruptions during the PMS, Davao Light will temporarily transfer the load from the affected substations to nearby lines during the said schedule,” DLPC said in a statement.
The first minute interruption will be on Wednesday, April 6, which will happen anytime between 4:00 am to 5:00 am.
“This will affect customers from Ateneo High School in Matina going to Ulas up to BUDA. This includes the entire areas of Ecoland, Maa, Matina Aplaya, Bangkal Catalunan Grande, Catalunan Pequeño, Mintal, Tugbok and Calinan,” it said.
Meanwhile, the second set of power disruption will be on April 6 and 7 “affecting customers from Ulas going to Puan, Dumoy and up to Toril proper. These service disruptions will still be within 15 minutes, which will both be implemented anytime between 4:00 am to 5:00 am.”
DLPC said the restoration of power “may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.” (davaotoday.com)
