DAVAO CITY – A barangay official from the third district reported an alleged synthetic rice noodles bought in Calinan public market.
“It was shown to us last Friday. Niluto na po hindi niya makain-kain. Dumudulas lang sa bunganga niya (It was cooked but he can’t eat it. It keeps slipping from his mouth),” said Robert Oconer, City Health Office environment sanitation division chief.
He said that the complainant did not know the specific location on where the alleged synthetic bihon was bought.
“He (complainant) does not really know as to when and how it was bought by his personnel,” he said.
Oconer told the barangay official to bring his personnel to the CHO to be interviewed for the investigation.
He added that they will have to submit the samples to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for the laboratory test. (Diana C. Tomale/davaotoday.com)
